I am the only mammal to have scales like this. They’re made of keratin. Keratin is also what your nails are made from.
If I feel threatened I curl up in a ball. If nobody votes for me, I’m going to curl up in a ball for a long time. At least a week.
I have a long tongue and I can poke it out really far. Up to 16 inches. I like to stick it in ant holes. Yum.
